Kargil: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh inaugurated a well‑equipped Rural Development Complex and Resource Centre in Kargil, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor Kargil, Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, and Hon’ble MP Kargil, Mohd Haneefa Jan.
The centre has been set up as a nerve centre for rural planning, capacity building, and service delivery, converging multiple rural departments under one roof to streamline governance and outreach.
On the occasion, rural skill‑training certificates were handed over to local youths who have taken up the path of self‑employment and are contributing to rural empowerment.
The LG congratulated the people of Kargil, describing the new complex as a concrete step towards achieving the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Rural Empowerment” and “Antyodaya” — welfare of the last person — with speed, skill, and sensitivity.
