RAMBAN, Mar 31: A landslide late Monday evening blocked both lanes of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Mehar in Ramban district, halting all traffic.
The slide hit near the trailer parking area, fully obstructing the stretch. As a precaution, authorities stopped vehicles at Chanderkote, Jakhiani Kharpura, and Kistwari Pather to prevent congestion and ensure commuter safety.
Officials are evaluating the site, with clearance efforts underway to restore normal movement soon.
