Leh, June 4: Lieutenant Governor Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena on Thursday launched the Integrated Job Portal Ladakh, a dedicated digital platform aimed at streamlining employment opportunities and connecting job seekers with employers through a single-window, transparent system.
The portal (https://jobportal.ladakh.gov.in) has been developed under the vision and initiative of the Lieutenant Governor to enhance livelihood opportunities for the youth of Ladakh and centralise all employment-related services on one platform.
Officials said the portal will provide access to a wide range of job opportunities, including full-time, part-time, contractual and outsourced positions across multiple sectors. It is designed to simplify the recruitment process and eliminate the need for job seekers to rely on multiple websites, social media platforms or informal channels to find vacancies.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, the administration said employment remains a key concern for Ladakh’s youth, and the new system will make job access more organised, efficient and transparent. The platform also aims to support data-driven employment planning and reduce administrative workload.
L-G Saxena said the initiative goes beyond listing vacancies and is intended to build a complete employment ecosystem. He added that the portal would help bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by offering a seamless digital interface.
He also emphasised that the platform will ensure equal access to opportunities for youth from remote villages as well as urban areas of the Union Territory.
The portal offers features such as profile creation for candidates, online job search, easy application submission, real-time application tracking and direct communication between employers and applicants. Employers will be able to post vacancies, set requirements, filter candidates and connect directly with applicants.
