Leh, Sept 16: The Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport in Leh is set to join the nationwide observance of “Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025” on September 17, reaffirming its commitment to passenger service, sustainability, and community engagement.
As part of the celebrations, the airport has lined up a series of passenger-centric and outreach activities designed to enhance travel experiences and foster a spirit of seva (service). The observance underscores the aviation sector’s focus on comfort, safety, and satisfaction of passengers.
According to media communique, the day will begin with a traditional welcome for passengers, followed by a cultural performance that highlights Ladakh’s vibrant heritage. A tree plantation drive, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” will be held to promote environmental sustainability, alongside initiatives such as a quiz competition for children, airport awareness visits for school students, and passenger feedback collection.
To make the occasion more interactive, selfie booths with airport branding will be set up, and social media influencers will be engaged to spread awareness. The airport will also host free health check-up kiosks for travelers, ensuring passenger well-being remains a priority.
The observance of Yatri Sewa Diwas reflects the aviation sector’s collective responsibility towards passengers and the community. The KBR Airport’s celebrations will run throughout the day on September 17, with active participation from passengers, schoolchildren, and local stakeholders.
