Kulgam, Feb 13: In a major anti-drug crackdown, police attached immovable assets worth ₹1.5 crore linked to alleged peddler Mohd Ashraf Khanday in Manigam, Qazigund.
The properties—6 shops, 5 godowns, 1 tin shed, and 1 plinth—were seized under Section 68-F of NDPS Act as proceeds of illicit trafficking. Khanday, from Nipora Kulgam, faces FIR 196/2024 u/s 8/15 NDPS at PS Qazigund.
SSP Anayat Ali Choudhary emphasized zero-tolerance: “Drug networks will be dismantled; illegal wealth seized. Public urged to report suspicious activity to protect youth.”
This action underscores Kulgam Police’s drive against narcotics financing.
