Kulgam, Apr 25: Under the 100-day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Drug Control Authority Kulgam raided pharmacies across Kulgam town, Pahloo, Devsar, D.K. Marg, Qazigund, Frisal, Kadder, Behibagh, and Tengjan.
Actions included suspending 11 licenses, issuing show-cause notices, sealing violators under Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940. Coordinated with PS Behibagh, Kulgam, Qaimoh, Qazigund, Devsar.
Awareness sessions urged chemists to record scheduled drugs and sell only on prescriptions. Court fined ₹20,000 for record lapses, reinforcing compliance.
