Srinagar, Jan 2: In a significant victory against narcotics trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir arrested Tamana Ashraf, daughter of Mohammad Ashraf from Batamaloo Srinagar, who had evaded capture for three years.
Tamana faces charges under FIR No. 10/2023 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act at ANTF Jammu for smuggling over 7 kg of charas to Mumbai via courier services. ANTF personnel tactfully apprehended her at her Batamaloo residence on January 1, 2026, after persistent surveillance across multiple states.
This intelligence-driven operation underscores ANTF J&K’s commitment to dismantling drug networks through sustained efforts. Further probes into her connections continue.
