New Delhi, Aug 2: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has criticised actor Hrithik Roshan over what she described as his “unreasonable comments,” accusing him of indirectly encouraging online harassment against her.
The exchange began after Roshan commented on an Instagram post that read, “We need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan,” which surfaced following Ranaut’s recent remarks on student protests.
Responding to the post, Roshan urged people not to be influenced by online narratives and said opinions should be based on facts.
“My friend, siding with ‘A’ just because you don’t like ‘B’ anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society. I’ll wait for when the context is right and motivated by facts. That would be fair. But then again, who cares anymore, right?” he wrote.
Reacting to media reports about Roshan’s comment, Ranaut shared them on her Instagram Story and urged the actor to condemn those allegedly trolling her in his name instead of making remarks that she said added to the controversy.
“Dear Hrithik, I am happy that you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad, and you both look great together. You are in a committed relationship, and it doesn’t suit you to tease a woman like this,” she wrote.
She further added, “Instead, you should condemn all those who are harassing and bullying me using your name. Stop adding fuel to the fire and embarrassing your partner. I hope better sense prevails and you stop making unreasonable comments.”
Hrithik Roshan has not publicly responded to Ranaut’s latest remarks.
The dispute between the two actors dates back to 2016, when conflicting claims over an alleged past relationship escalated into legal notices, leaked emails, and a prolonged public controversy. Ranaut has maintained that the two were briefly involved, while Roshan has consistently denied the claim.
