Jammu, Jan 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has discontinued the old syllabus that was previously applicable to students who had failed or reappeared in classes 10, 11, and 12 examinations.
According to an official notification, the old scheme of studies has outlived its validity, and no further examination opportunities will be provided under it. Students who still haven’t cleared their exams under the old syllabus are now required to prepare as per the new curriculum for the upcoming annual private and bi-annual examinations scheduled later this year, following the summer zone exams and results.
The notification has been issued in advance to allow students sufficient time to transition to the new syllabus. The Board also noted that the number of students still awaiting clearance under the old system is now minimal.
