Srinagar, Jul 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are the architects of India’s future, stressing that skills, innovation and self-confidence—not academic degrees alone—will determine success in an increasingly competitive world.
Addressing students at a Mega Job Fair organised at Amar Singh College in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor said the event was aimed at connecting young job seekers with employment opportunities while empowering them to achieve their career aspirations.
Describing the job fair as more than just a recruitment drive, Sinha said it was a platform to give direction to the dreams of thousands of aspiring youth and help them build successful careers.
Calling upon young people to actively contribute to nation-building, he said, “You are the architects of India’s future. You are the strength of Skill India and the driving force behind Digital India.”
The Lieutenant Governor emphasised that while academic qualifications remain important, practical skills and continuous learning are essential in today’s fast-changing world.
“Success today depends not only on degrees but also on the ability to upgrade skills, innovate and adapt to changing times,” he said.
Sinha said the objective of the Mega Job Fair was to create a future-ready workforce by enhancing confidence, capability and employability among the youth. He expressed confidence that Jammu and Kashmir’s skilled workforce would play a significant role in achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
He also urged teachers and educational institutions to prepare students with the confidence, skills and adaptability needed to meet emerging challenges and opportunities.
Expressing optimism about the region’s future, the Lieutenant Governor said the government is committed to creating an environment where every young person gets an equal opportunity to showcase talent, realise aspirations and contribute to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
