JAMMU, May 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has promoted two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) to Superintendent of Police (SP) in the J&K Police.
Government Order No. 265-Home of 2026, dated May 2, 2026, and issued by the Home Department, grants sanction for the following General Cadre DySPs to be elevated to SP (Level-11, Pay Matrix ₹67,700–₹2,08,700) with immediate effect:
Mudasser Ahmed Tramboo (KPS1258)
Vaseem Mehmood (KPS125754)
The order carries the approval of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and remains subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions.
