Jammu, June 16: In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has deputed 63 officers from various departments to strengthen management, coordination and administrative arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, the officers have been assigned as Camp Directors and Additional Camp Directors at various base and transit camps along the Yatra route. The deployment aims to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage and provide efficient services to devotees.
The officers, drawn from the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service and several other departments, have been directed to report to the office of the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board on dates specified by the Board. Their specific camp assignments will also be decided by the Shrine Board.
During the deputation period, the officials will continue to receive salaries from their parent departments and will return to their original postings after the conclusion of the Yatra.
Among those deputed are senior officers from the Revenue, Tourism, Jal Shakti, Education, Rural Development and other departments, including Additional Deputy Commissioners, Additional Secretaries, Block Development Officers, Child Development Project Officers and State Taxes Officers.
The government has instructed all concerned departments to relieve the deputed officers in a timely manner to facilitate seamless deployment and effective management during the pilgrimage.
The move is part of the administration’s extensive preparations to ensure better coordination, public service delivery, and overall management of the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
