Jammu, June 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Haris Ahmad Handoo, Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, as the Nodal Officer for coordinating Muharram-2026 arrangements across the Union Territory.
According to an official order, Handoo will oversee inter-departmental coordination and maintain close liaison with district administrations and other agencies involved in facilitating Muharram-related activities.
He will also monitor the status of preparations and ensure timely resolution of issues requiring coordination among various stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of observances during the holy month.
