Srinagar, Jan 22: J&K Bank on Wednesday commissioned a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) at its Azad-gunj Branch in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, expanding self-service banking access for customers and traders in the area.
The CRM was inaugurated by Zonal Head (Baramulla) Tanveer Ahmad in the presence of Cluster Head (Baramulla) Masood Ahmad. The event was attended by customers, local traders, residents and officers of the bank.
Addressing the gathering, Tanveer Ahmad said the addition of the CRM reflects the bank’s ongoing effort to improve customer convenience through technology-driven services. He said the machine will provide round-the-clock access to cash and ease pressure on branch counters, particularly for traders and customers who handle frequent cash transactions.
He further said the bank continues to invest in digital and self-service channels to ensure faster, safer and more efficient banking services across its operational areas.
With the commissioning of the Azad-gunj unit, the total number of CRMs in Baramulla Zone has reached 25. Bank officials said the expansion aligns with the institution’s wider plan to simplify day-to-day banking and reduce wait times for customers.
