Chandigarh, Jan 25: Punjab Police arrested a Jammu resident with alleged connections to Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti, marking a significant breakthrough against a cross-border terror network.
Raman Kumar alias Golu was apprehended by the State Special Operation Cell in SAS Nagar. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav announced the development on X, stating that a .30 bore pistol was recovered from the accused.
Kumar maintained direct contact with Shahzad Bhatti through Instagram and WhatsApp. Police linked him to the Ambala Police Station blast case, where he allegedly provided financial support to the perpetrators.
The operation underscores intensified efforts to dismantle Pakistan-backed terror modules operating in the region.
