JAMMU DEC 28: Jammu Police South Zone achieved a major breakthrough by dismantling an active vehicle theft network and recovering more than six stolen two-wheelers, effectively curbing a recent spate of vehicle thefts across different parts of the city. Acting under the leadership of SSP Jammu and close supervision of SP South and SDPO South, Police Station Gangyal intensified operations after observing a sharp rise in two-wheeler theft cases in the area. To trace the culprits, the SHO Police Station Gangyal constituted special teams. One such team, led by PSI Atta-ur-Rehman, carried out extensive ground-level operations, analyzed theft patterns, gathered technical inputs, and conducted searches at suspected locations commonly used to hide stolen vehicles. As a result of sustained and systematic efforts, police recovered over six high-value stolen two-wheelers linked to multiple theft cases registered at different police stations. The successful recovery underscores Jammu Police’s firm commitment to maintaining law and order and safeguarding public property. The coordinated supervision of senior officers and dedicated efforts of field teams have further reinforced public confidence in the police. Further investigation is underway, and more recoveries and arrests are expected in the coming days.
