JAMMU, JULY 8 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of 23 doctors, including Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers (BMOs), across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
As part of the senior-level reshuffle, Dr Harbaksh Singh, who was serving as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Jammu, has been transferred and posted as In-charge Deputy Director (Headquarters), Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, against an available vacancy. Dr Narinder Bhutyal, previously serving as In-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, has been appointed as In-charge CMO Jammu.
Dr Sanjay Arora, In-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent at Bone and Joint Hospital, Jammu, has been posted as In-charge Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar. Dr Salma Bhat, earlier serving as In-charge Medical Superintendent at Trauma Hospital Kangan, has been appointed as In-charge CMO Shopian.
The order also stated that Dr Usha Kiran Sidha, currently serving as In-charge District Immunization Officer (DIO), Reasi, has been posted as In-charge BMO Akhnoor. Dr Jatinder Mehta, who is on deputation to the National Health Mission (NHM), will additionally hold the charge of Additional Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
Several other postings were announced, including Dr Samina Nazir as In-charge Mobile Unit, Directorate of Health Services Jammu, Dr Vishal Raina as In-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent, Bone and Joint Hospital Jammu, and Dr Sharmeen Mushtaq as In-charge Deputy CMO Srinagar.
Dr Vijay Kumar has been transferred as In-charge BMO Batote, while Dr Harbinder Singh has been posted as In-charge BMO Dansal. Dr Pankaj Gupta will look after the charge of BMO Ramnagar, and Dr Riyaz Ahmad Wani has been appointed as In-charge BMO Pulwama.
Dr Nazir Ahmed Dar, formerly In-charge BMO Pulwama, has been posted as In-charge BMO Shopian, while Dr Opinder Singh will hold the additional charge of BMO Banihal.
The Government has also issued deputation and transfer orders involving doctors posted in various hospitals and health institutions. These include deployments to the J&K AIDS Control Society, Red Cross Society Srinagar, MAC International Airport Srinagar, Children’s Hospital Bemina, JKMSCL and various Primary Health Centres.
Meanwhile, in a separate order, the Government has transferred and posted another 30 doctors, including Medical Officers, Dental Surgeons and Consultants, as part of the ongoing administrative restructuring in the Health Department.
