Itanagar, Oct 11: IndiGo has started a new direct flight service connecting Assam’s Guwahati and Donyi Polo Airport near Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh.
The country’s largest airline started the operations to boost regional air connectivity between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, an official statement said on Sunday.
The flight operates five days a week – Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The airline announced that the service will transition to a daily operation under its revised winter schedule, effective October 25.
The direct flight route is tailored to resolve long-standing commuter demands for seamless transit, the statement said.
The schedule provides travellers from the region with improved onward connectivity to major metropolitan and commercial hubs across the country, including Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Lucknow, it said.
