New Delhi, June 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that India continues to progress on its growth trajectory with confidence and determination despite global uncertainty and instability.
Chairing the 11th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, the Prime Minister said that as India moves towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, collective responsibility becomes even more important.
Quoting the Prime Minister in a post on X, NITI Aayog said, “The world is passing through a period of uncertainty and instability, yet India continues to move forward on its growth trajectory with confidence and determination.”
He noted that India has signed several free trade agreements with different countries, creating new opportunities for growth, exports, and global market access. He added that these agreements would particularly benefit MSMEs by helping them become globally competitive and adopt international standards.
Highlighting India’s demographic advantage, the Prime Minister described it as a historic opportunity that the country “cannot afford to lose.” He stressed the importance of building a strong ecosystem for youth through quality education, skill development, and employment opportunities.
“Empowered youth will be the driving force behind our journey towards Viksit Bharat,” he said.
Modi also underlined the need for cooperation and dialogue between states, saying that institutions like NITI Aayog should serve as platforms for collaboration and sharing of best practices.
He further emphasized that women-led development is a key pillar of the Viksit Bharat vision, noting that women are contributing across sectors including agriculture, startups, science, and innovation. He urged states to focus on education, skill development, safety, and empowerment of women.
Reiterating the importance of cooperative federalism, the Prime Minister said that joint efforts between the Centre and states will be crucial in achieving India’s long-term development goals.
