Jammu, October 4: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K president Manish Sahni, reacting to the party being left out of the INDIA bloc meeting held on October 3, stressed the need to broaden and strengthen the alliance.
Sahni said the INDIA bloc should focus on expanding its reach and bringing more like-minded parties and forces together, rather than narrowing its space.
“If we want to put up a strong fight against the BJP, every ally must be taken along with due respect and coordination. Shiv Sena (UBT) does not need any alliance for its political existence, but a stronger and broader INDIA bloc needs the participation of all its allies,” he said.
Sahni announced that the Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit will hold its own protest on October 7 and will not participate in the INDIA bloc’s protest.
“The INDIA bloc belongs to no single party. Its strength lies in expanding its base, respecting every ally and bringing more forces together. Ignoring allies will only weaken opposition unity,” Sahni said.
