Jammu/Katra: The 44th Holy Chharri Yatra of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) today performed religious rituals and offered prayers at the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. The Akhand Jyot (eternal flame) was lit, and devotees were blessed with the opportunity to have darshan inside the holy cave at the Bhawan.
On the occasion, Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K President Manish Sahni prayed at the feet of Mata Vaishno Devi for prosperity, happiness, peace and sustained development in Jammu and Kashmir as well as across the country. He also prayed for India to emerge as a Vishwa Guru (global leader) and for every citizen to lead a healthy, safe and prosperous life.
Sahni said that at a time when several parts of the world are witnessing tensions and war-like situations, Mata Vaishno Devi should bless the world with peace, harmony and goodwill. He prayed for lasting peace and tranquillity in Jammu and Kashmir and throughout the country, and for humanity to be freed from conflict and unrest.
He said the Holy Chharri Yatra is not merely a symbol of religious faith but also conveys a message of social harmony, positivity and public welfare.
Sahni further informed that the sacred Chharri and Akhand Jyot would be kept at the renowned Shri Raghunath Ji Temple in Jammu for devotees to pay their respects during Navratri. Devotees who could not participate in the pilgrimage can visit the temple to have darshan of the sacred Chharri and Akhand Jyot and seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
The Akhand Jyot will remain a special centre of devotion for devotees until Ashtami and Navami, allowing more people to seek the blessings of the Divine Mother during the auspicious Navratri period.
