Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir: Fresh reports of heavy gunfire and multiple explosions have emerged from the Dorimal forest area in Rajouri, where security forces are conducting an ongoing anti-terror operation.
According to officials and ground reports, intermittent firing exchanges were heard from the dense forest belt as troops maintained pressure on suspected militants believed to be hiding in the area.
The operation, part of a sustained cordon-and-search effort, has been underway for several days, with security forces tracking suspected terrorist movement in the region. Sources indicate that the area’s difficult terrain and thick vegetation have complicated the search operations.
No official confirmation of casualties has been released so far. Authorities have also not provided operational details, maintaining standard protocol for ongoing engagements.
Security forces continue to dominate the area as the operation remains active.
