New Delhi, Mar 7: Tarun Butolia (26) rushed back from a Holi party after a call claiming his parents were being beaten—only to be ambushed and beaten to death by a mob in Uttam Nagar.
His mother Sunita said: “They tricked my son, told him we were under attack. He sped back on his bike, but they were waiting.” The neighbourhood clash over festival colours turned communal and fatal on March 4, with attackers using rods, bats, and stones even as locals begged them to stop.
Tarun, a BCA grad eyeing a career in digital design, was stabbed and stoned unconscious; his injured father Mamraj noted seven-eight men overwhelmed the gym-goer. Accused families have fled, as tensions simmer.
