GDC Kathua organised a function to bid farewell to Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia Principal of the college on his superannuation. Speaking on the occasion Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia gave a detail of his long service career of 36 and half years. He told that he served in Higher Education Department for almost 24 years and School Education Department as Lecturer for about 12 and half years. He thanked the teaching and non teaching staff members for organizing a farewell in his honour. Prof Rakesh Singh HOD Chemistry threw light on the achievements of Prof Sumanesh as Principal of GDC Kathua. He told that a lot has been done by Prof Sumanesh in the maintenance of large infrastructure of the college and better academic growth of the institution. He further said, as teacher also he has proved his worth and was very popular among students. Prof Anirudh Sharma appreciated the hard work done by. Prof Sumanesh in excellent performance of the institution during his tenure. Prof Jasvinder Singh talked about the humourous nature of Prof Sumanesh. Dr Seema Malpotra elaborated on the National and International seminars conferences organised in GDC Kathua during the tenure of Prof Sumanesh as Principal of GDC Kathua. Students of the College led by Mr. Nikhal also appreciated the work done by Prof. Sumanesh and honoured him by garlanding with flowers.Among others present on the occasion were Prof Romilla Gulera , Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma, Dr. Deepshikha, Dr. Anupma Arora, Dr. Surya Partap Singh, Dr. Jogbinder Singh Soodan, Dr. Amita Dua, Dr. Ram Krishan, Dr. Kailash Sharma, Dr. Sumit Dubey, Prof Ram Krishan, Dr. Verinder Singh Prof. Manmohan Singh, Ms. Kiran , Me.
