Kargil, Sept 24: GDC Kargil witnessed an engaging edition of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect program, organized by NSS GDC Kargil in collaboration with MY Yuva Bharat Kargil under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, on the occasion of NSS Day. The event brought together the college community, including Principal Rigzin Angmo, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and enthusiastic students.
The program featured an illuminating session by Ajaz Ali, the Youth Icon of Ladakh, who served as the chief guest. Addressing the audience, he emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future and stressed the importance of their active engagement in nation-building efforts.
Ajaz Ali elaborated on the vision of a self-reliant, progressive, and inclusive India, highlighting the integration of technology, innovation, and education alongside cultural pride and social cohesion. The discussion also centered on the Panch Pran, or five pledges, and the eleven Sankalp commitments, which serve as guiding principles for youth in contributing to national development.
The program left students and volunteers motivated to embrace the responsibilities outlined in the initiative and underscored the potential of youth-driven action in transforming society.
