Uttarakhand jan 06 : Former intelligence officer Lucky Bisht has alleged that certain foreign media organisations are running a coordinated narrative campaign aimed at defaming him and India’s external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
In a public statement shared online, Bisht claimed he has received information from what he described as trusted newsroom sources indicating that journalists and foreign platforms are seeking personal and professional details about him with the intent of misrepresentation. He termed the alleged effort as part of an “information war” rather than routine journalism.
Bisht asserted that modern intelligence warfare increasingly relies on media influence, perception-building and character assassination, rather than traditional military tools. According to him, targeting individuals who speak publicly on national security issues is intended to intimidate dissenting voices and undermine India’s global standing.
The remarks have triggered widespread debate on social media. Supporters echoed concerns over selective and agenda-driven reporting by foreign outlets, while critics called for greater transparency and verifiable evidence to substantiate the claims.
Bisht’s comments have renewed discussion around the role of foreign media in shaping global perceptions and the growing impact of information and narrative warfare in contemporary geopolitics.
