Leh, Oct 07: In a remarkable display of technological innovation and operational excellence, the Fire & Fury Corps organised the ‘Drone Yodha Competition’ in the extreme high-altitude region of Ladakh, showcasing the Indian Army’s growing proficiency in modern warfare tools and drone technology.
Conducted under realistic operational conditions, the competition brought together some of the most skilled drone operators from various formations of the Corps. Participants demonstrated exceptional expertise in aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and precision operations — all while tackling the harsh terrain and weather conditions of Ladakh.
Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding, Fire & Fury Corps, witnessed the competition and lauded the participants for their professional competence, adaptability, and innovative use of drone technology in operational settings. He commended the troops for effectively employing drones as a force multiplier in intelligence gathering, logistics, and tactical support missions in high-altitude warfare scenarios.
The event also highlighted the integration of advanced drone technologies — including AI-assisted navigation, real-time data relay, and autonomous flight systems — tailored to meet the challenges of mountainous terrain and low temperatures.
