Jammu, June 16: A 29-year-old migrant woman employee was found hanging inside her parental home in the Jagti Migrant Colony area of Jammu, police officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Kirti Bhat, wife of Shashi Bhushan Bhat. She was working in the Agriculture Department at Pampore and was temporarily posted in Budgam in connection with her official duties.
According to reports, Kirti had recently returned to her parental home in Lane No. 20 of Jagti Migrant Colony. She was found hanging inside the residence, prompting family members to alert the authorities.
A police team rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and shifted the body to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for post-mortem examination.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. Further investigation is underway.
