Srinagar, Mar 13: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah hoped for a swift resolution to the West Asia conflict, blaming it for India’s fuel and gas shortages due to the Strait of Hormuz closure — a vital oil corridor.
Speaking to reporters at Hazratbal shrine after Juma’atul Wida prayers, the former J&K CM said, “The shortage stems from this ongoing war; let’s pray it ends soon.”
He warned of forces aiming to destroy Islam — “May Allah destroy them” — and urged unity: “We advance only together.”
