NEW DELHI, May 22: The Election Commission on Friday announced Rajya Sabha elections for 24 seats to be held on June 18.
The polls cover 10 states where members’ terms expire between June 21 and July 19. Four seats each will be contested in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka; three each in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan; two in Jharkhand; and one seat each in Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram.
The last date to file nominations is June 8, the commission said.
