Medical emergencies in the high-altitude and isolated areas of Zanskar often become life-threatening due to poor road access and limited medical facilities. In this instance, the coordinated efforts of multiple departments ensured timely evacuation. The operation was overseen by Dr. Franklin, Secretary of Civil Aviation, with active involvement from the Kargil district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Shri Rakesh Kumar, SDM Zanskar Mr. Hassan, and BMO Dr. Tashi.

Stanzin Lakpa, Councillor of the Cha constituency, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the community. He stated that the rescue effort demonstrated a strong sense of duty and compassion, proving that with collective will and administrative readiness, even the most remote lives can be protected.
