Leh, Apr 21 : An outreach and orientation programme by Sindhu Central University (SCU) was held at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College Leh on Monday, bringing students face-to-face with university officials and offering a detailed preview of academic opportunities for the 2026–27 admission cycle.
Led by Dr. B. Chandrasekhar, Secretary of the Executive Council, the visiting delegation outlined the university’s academic structure, programme offerings and long-term vision. Addressing the gathering, he elaborated on postgraduate and technical courses, including M.Sc., M.A. and M.Tech., along with certificate programmes designed to cater to evolving educational demands in Ladakh.
The session drew active participation from students and faculty, with the interactive segment emerging as a focal point. Participants raised queries on eligibility, course content and career trajectories, with SCU officials providing clarifications and practical insights into higher education pathways.
Earlier, the programme commenced with a traditional welcome, as the Principal of EJM College honoured the visiting dignitary with a ceremonial Khatak. In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohd Taqi highlighted the role of structured outreach initiatives in bridging information gaps and enabling students to make informed academic choices.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tsering Norphel, who acknowledged the participation of the SCU delegation, faculty members and students.
The programme reflects ongoing efforts to expand academic engagement in the region, with institutions seeking to strengthen awareness and access to higher education opportunities across Ladakh.
