Kargil: The Education Society Hagnis organised a warm and dignified farewell ceremony to honour Mohd Ali Khan, Senior Teacher of the Education Department, on his retirement after completing nearly 41 years of dedicated service. Khan attained the age of 60 years and retired from government service in good health and with great honour.
To mark the occasion, a special function was held by the Education Society Hagnis, where teachers, staff members and community representatives gathered to pay tribute to Khan’s long and exemplary career in the field of education.
Addressing the gathering, Haji Mohd Abdullah, President of Education Society Hagnis, lauded Khan’s invaluable contributions to the department. He described him as a hardworking, sincere and duty-conscious teacher who always upheld punctuality and discipline. He remarked that Mr. Khan’s retirement would leave a void in the department and that his absence would be deeply felt by colleagues and students alike.
The announcer of the Education Society, Mr. Mohd Baqir, invited Mr. Ali Khan to address the gathering. In his farewell speech, Mr. Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Education Society Hagnis for organising the ceremony despite the busy schedules and harsh winter conditions. He also humbly sought forgiveness from colleagues and staff for any unintentional mistakes that may have occurred during his long service career.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Education Society Hagnis, through its President, presented Mr. Khan with a gift and a traditional khatak (ceremonial scarf) as a token of respect and appreciation. Following the ceremony, Mr. Khan was escorted to his residence in a convoy of vehicles.
Later, a grand gathering was also held at Mr. Khan’s residence, which was attended by employees of the Education Society Hagnis, staff of the ZEO Office Shakar Chiktan.
