Leh, Oct 01: In a ceremonial event filled with pride and honour, a Pipping Ceremony was organised at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) North West Frontier Headquarters, Leh, where officers were formally promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Akun Sabharwal, IPS, Inspector General, ITBP, NW Frontier, who personally pipped the newly-promoted officers, marking a milestone in their professional journey.
Congratulating the officers on their promotion, Dr. Sabharwal lauded their dedication, perseverance and commitment to the service. He urged them to continue upholding the highest traditions of professionalism and discipline, and to serve as role models for their subordinates. He further emphasized the pivotal role ITBP plays in safeguarding the nation’s borders under challenging conditions, while contributing to internal security and humanitarian duties.
