Leh: In an effort to instil a deep sense of patriotism and national pride among students, Delhi Public School, Leh organized a special screening of the patriotic movie “120 Bahadur.”
The film highlights the extraordinary courage, dedication, and sacrifice of Indian soldiers, offering students an inspiring glimpse into the lives of the nation’s true heroes.
The initiative was led by the school’s Director, Retd. Major General Mohinder Sagoch, and the Principal, Ms. Sonal Mediratta, who firmly believe in nurturing values of love, respect, and responsibility towards the country among young learners.
They emphasized that such experiences play a vital role in shaping students’ character and strengthening their emotional connection with the nation.
The students watched the film with great enthusiasm and were visibly moved by the bravery depicted on screen.
Many expressed a renewed respect for the armed forces and a stronger desire to contribute positively to the country. The movie theatre echoed with energetic “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram” slogans.
For the students of Ladakh, the film carried an even deeper emotional significance. The heroic tales depicted in the movie reminded them of the unparalleled courage of the brave soldiers of Rezang La—sons of Ladakh whose “veerta” continues to inspire generations.
The students felt immense pride knowing that their land has been home to warriors who stood like mountains in the face of adversity, defending the nation with unmatched determination.
The valour of Ladakhi soldiers became a powerful source of motivation, encouraging students to uphold the same spirit of resilience, patriotism, and service to the nation.
The school management reiterated its commitment to continue organizing meaningful and value-based activities that enrich students’ understanding and inspire them to uphold the ideals of nation-building.
