DODA: Security forces have called off an extensive search operation in Gandoh valley of Doda district after thorough combing yielded no suspicious findings, officials confirmed on Wednesday evening.
The operation was launched earlier today in Gandoh Bhalessa following credible reports of suspicious movement in the forested and remote terrain, prompting joint teams of Army, police, and Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel to fan out across the area.
Despite heightened vigilance amid recent security challenges in the Jammu region, security personnel meticulously covered potential hideouts, questioned locals, and scanned vulnerable spots without encountering any threats or militants.
Authorities emphasized that such proactive measures remain routine to preempt risks in sensitive zones like Doda, where intermittent terror activities have been reported. The all-clear status brings relief to the local population, allowing normalcy to resume in Gandoh
