Leh, May 20 : The District Institute of Education and Training Leh on Tuesday hosted students and teachers from Council Model School Ayu Saboo as part of an educational exposure visit aimed at promoting experiential and activity-based learning among young learners.
During the visit, students were taken through various academic sections of DIET Leh, including the Balvatika Model Room, where faculty members introduced them to innovative teaching practices, creative classroom activities and child-centred learning methods designed to make education more interactive and engaging.
Faculty members guided the students through different learning spaces and explained the role of modern pedagogical approaches in strengthening conceptual understanding and practical learning among children.
The visiting students actively participated in demonstrations and displayed keen interest in the educational models, teaching aids and laboratory resources showcased during the programme.
Particular attraction during the visit was the contextualised Jadui Pitara Box, locally referred to as “Mig Thrul Gi Gum”, which encouraged students to explore learning through interactive and activity-based tools. Students also spent time engaging with the Model Balvatika facility at DIET Leh.
Teachers accompanying the students appreciated the institute’s efforts in creating a learner-friendly academic environment and observed that such educational exposure visits help nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence among students beyond conventional classroom learning.
The programme was conducted in an interactive and cheerful atmosphere, with faculty members of DIET Leh expressing gratitude to Council Model School Ayu Saboo for organising the visit and encouraging students to gain exposure to innovative educational practices.
Officials said such initiatives form part of DIET Leh’s continued efforts to strengthen experiential learning and foster greater student engagement through practical and activity-oriented education across Ladakh.
