LEH: The first day of a two-day online hands-on training programme on the Digital Holistic Progress Card (DHPC) was conducted on Monday for Headmasters and School Administrators of PM SHRI schools across Ladakh, as education authorities moved forward with the implementation of the digital assessment framework aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Organised by PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, in collaboration with the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, the workshop focused on equipping school administrators with the technical and operational knowledge required for the rollout of the DHPC platform across PM SHRI schools in the Union Territory.
The training commenced under the guidance of Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, Chief Executive Officer of PARAKH and Head of the Educational Survey Division, NCERT. Resource persons Christopher Tongbram and Prashant Singh introduced participants to the objectives, significance and implementation framework of the Digital Holistic Progress Card system, which seeks to strengthen competency-based and holistic assessment practices in schools.
A major component of the session was devoted to explaining the administrative architecture of the platform, including the roles and responsibilities of officials at national, state, district and school levels. Participants were briefed on the workflow connecting administrators, teachers, students and parents within the digital ecosystem.
The practical segment focused on the creation of login credentials across various administrative tiers. State-level credentials were generated first, followed by district-level access for Leh and Kargil, after which School Administrators were guided through the process of creating and managing user credentials for their respective institutions. The exercise provided participants with hands-on exposure to the platform’s operational procedures.
The post-training session featured an interactive discussion during which School Administrators sought clarifications on credential generation and platform management. PARAKH experts addressed technical queries and demonstrated solutions to facilitate smooth implementation at the school level.
To ensure readiness for the next phase of training, participants were assigned the task of creating and verifying login credentials for teachers and students up to the Middle Stage in their respective schools. Officials said the second day of the workshop will focus on data entry, progress card generation and practical implementation of the platform.
