JAMMU DEC 01: MLA Nagrota, Devyani Rana, today extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, for restoring DMU 74907 and 74906—services that had remained suspended and have now been resumed for public use.
Rana said the revival of these vital DMU services brings major relief to thousands of daily commuters, including students, office-goers and traders across the Nagrota Assembly Constituency. She noted that the restoration marks the return of a critical lifeline that deeply influences livelihoods and daily routines.
She attributed the timely resumption of the services to the proactive support of the Central BJP leadership and the Union Railway Ministry, which took swift action after acknowledging the genuine concerns of Nagrota residents.
Highlighting the significance of the move, the MLA said the recommencement of DMU 74907 and 74906 will significantly improve mobility, reduce travel time and benefit residents of several panchayats and villages dependent on rail transport. She reaffirmed her commitment to pursuing continuous development initiatives in the constituency.
Rana added that restoration of the service was a major demand raised by the public during the election campaign. “I sincerely thank the Hon’ble Railway Minister for promptly addressing this long-pending demand of the people of Nagrota,” she said, reiterating her gratitude on behalf of the public.
She asserted that the timely intervention reflects the BJP’s commitment to strengthening connectivity and addressing local issues with sensitivity, efficiency and promptness.
