New Delhi, April 11: In a breakthrough, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch solved a murder case pending for 35 years, arresting the accused from Ludhiana on April 10.
DCP Crime Branch Aditya Gautam credited the Inter-State Cell team, led by ACP Ramesh Lamba and Inspector Manmeet Malik. “Sub-Inspector Sunil and Head Constable Sunil developed information at the ground level,” Gautam said. “As the accused was identified by name, our team even went to his village and gathered further information from there. That information was then developed further using technical methods. The location of the accused was ascertained, and finally, he was arrested from Ludhiana on April 10.”
The persistent effort highlights dedicated policing in closing cold cases.
