SRINAGAR, May 13 : Rapid Action CRPF personnel of CRPF’s 90 Battalion have been praised for saving the life of a man who suffered a cardiac emergency on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Bijbehara.
The personnel deployed on Route Opening Party (ROP) duty acted swiftly when the emergency occurred and provided immediate assistance, helping stabilise the individual before medical support arrived.
Their quick response and presence of mind are being widely appreciated, with officials and citizens describing the act as “service beyond duty.”
The gesture has drawn calls for formal recognition of the jawans for their timely humanitarian intervention.
The incident has once again highlighted the critical role of security forces deployed along the highway, not only in maintaining operational security but also in responding to life-threatening civilian emergencies.
