JAMMU, Mar 31: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah affirmed the government’s commitment to filling 25,000 vacancies this year, emphasizing transparency and timeliness during his Legislative Assembly address Tuesday.
Responding to Pulwama MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, Abdullah noted prior discussions on the LG’s speech, budget, and grants. “We’re firm on this resolve,” he said, stressing a balanced recruitment process.
“Time-bound doesn’t mean rushed—rushed selections often face court challenges, delaying matters and aging out applicants,” he cautioned, drawing from past cases.
