CEO Kargil flags off Girl Students for National Level Kala Utsav 2025–26

KARGIL: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil, Sonam Wangchuk, Wednesday formally flagged off a group of talented girl students from Kargil district who will represent UT Ladakh at the National Level Kala Utsav 2025–26, scheduled to be held from 19 December to 25 December 2025 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune, Maharashtra.

The students were given an enthusiastic send‑off from the CEO Office, Baroo, Kargil, in the presence of the District Coordinator, staff members, parents, and the escort teacher Madam Shabina Naz, who will accompany the team throughout the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Education Officer Kargil advised the students to maintain proper coordination and cooperation with their escort teacher during the journey and throughout the program.

He further instructed the escort teacher to remain in close communication with the CEO Office in case of any issues or challenges faced during travel or participation.

Sonam Wangchuk assured the students and their parents of full administrative support to ensure a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey, stay, and return.

He extended his heartfelt best wishes to the participants, expressing confidence that they will present Ladakh with pride and strive to emerge as National Winners at the prestigious cultural festival.

These students have earned their place at the national stage by winning at both the District Level Kala Utsav held on 13 September 2025 and the State/UT Level Kala Utsav held on 27 November 2025.

The students representing UT Ladakh at the National Level Kala Utsav 2025–26 are:

Vocal Music Solo – Classical

Rehana Batool, HS Goma Kargil. Theatre Group / Short Play (GHSS G.M. Pore)Zarina Banoo, MehrunNissa,KhaironNissaand KherunNissa.

Visual Art Solo – 2D, Tohira, HS Kaksar. Visual Art Group – Indigenous Toys; Abida Khan, HS Goma Kargil, and Kaneez Fatima, HS Goma Kargil.

The Education Department Kargil congratulates all the participants and wishes them great success as they carry the cultural identity and artistic excellence of UT Ladakh to the national platform.
