SRINAGAR DEC 11 : The Government of India has cleared a significant extension of IAS officer Amit Sharma’s central deputation, allowing him to continue as DCO/DCR for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh until March 31, 2030.
An official memorandum from the Department of Personnel and Training states that Sharma’s deputation, which was earlier set to end on December 31, 2025, will now run up to March 31, 2030 under the Central Staffing Scheme. The order also notes that his tenure, which began on November 24, 2025, may be considered for further extension in line with the applicable norms.
