Kargil, May 27 : Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction and interior works of the Kargil Wing of Ladakh Bhawan in New Delhi and directed officials to expedite the remaining work to ensure timely completion of the project.
During a meeting with officials of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in New Delhi, Dr. Akhoon took stock of the status of various components of the project and assessed the pace of construction works being carried out at the facility intended for the people of Kargil.
Emphasising the need for adherence to timelines, the CEC instructed CPWD officials to accelerate the pending works and ensure that the project is completed without further delay.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of interior works in detail. Dr. Akhoon stressed that the interiors should be completed to a high standard and executed in a time-bound manner so that the facility becomes fully functional and ready for use at the earliest.
Officials said discussions were also held regarding the proposed handover and inauguration process of the Kargil Wing. The CEC emphasised the need for coordinated planning and administrative preparedness to facilitate a smooth transition once the project is completed.
Dr. Akhoon observed that the facility would serve as an important support infrastructure for residents and visitors from Kargil staying in the national capital and underscored the importance of ensuring quality execution of the project.
CPWD officials briefed the meeting on the remaining works and assured the CEC that all pending construction and interior activities would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
