SHIRDI (Maharashtra), May 23 : Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan said on Saturday that future conflicts will be multi‑domain, integrating land, sea, air, cyberspace and cognitive warfare. Speaking at the inauguration of a defence manufacturing unit in Ahilyanagar, he said modern warfare is evolving beyond manpower and conventional platforms.
“AI, drones, robotics, cyber systems, autonomous platforms, space technologies, precision weapons and information dominance are shaping future wars,” General Chauhan said. He added that technology, speed and innovation will be decisive in upcoming operations, and that battlefields will extend beyond physical terrain into information networks, digital ecosystems and cyber infrastructure.
The CDS warned that nations that innovate rapidly, scale production and whose forces adapt quickly will gain strategic advantage.
