NEW DELHI, May 13 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 12 board exam results, with over 85 per cent students clearing the examinations this year.
According to Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the overall pass percentage has dropped by more than three points compared to last year.
He said over 94,000 students scored above 90 per cent marks, while more than 17,000 candidates secured above 95 per cent.
This year, over 1.63 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category, reflecting an increase of nearly two percentage points from the previous year.
Girls once again outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of over 88 per cent, while the pass rate for boys stood at 82 per cent.
