Jammu, Jul 21: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday apprehended a 53-year-old Pakistani national after he crossed into the Indian side of the International Border in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district, officials said.
The intruder, identified as Mohammad Rafiq Kala, a resident of Pindi village in Pakistan, was intercepted by BSF personnel deployed in the Pragwal area of Khour early Tuesday morning.
During preliminary questioning, Kala reportedly told the authorities that he had inadvertently crossed the border after losing his way while visiting his sister.
Security agencies are conducting further interrogation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the border crossing.
