JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA), along with BJP J&K General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra and Gopal Mahajan, received 11,000 earthen lamps (diyas) from the Mahadev Trust at the BJP J&K headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, as part of celebrations to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP Secretary Arun Sharma, District President Adv. Rajesh Gupta, President Office Incharge Jaideep Sambyal, senior leader Parmod Kapahi, and other senior party leaders were present on the occasion.
The 11,000 diyas will be added to the total of 1 lakh Diyas, which will be used to organize a grand Deepotsav under ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’, symbolizing respect and admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of dedicated public service and his unwavering commitment to the nation. The Deepotsav will also reflect the collective resolve to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and convey wishes for the Prime Minister’s good health, longevity and continued service to the nation.
Sat Sharma, speaking on the occasion, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s journey of 25 years in public service represents an inspiring chapter of dedication, discipline and nation-first leadership.
“The 11,000 diyas are not merely earthen lamps, they represent the aspirations of millions of Indians and the light of hope, development and national resurgence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ignited across the country. Through the Deepotsav, we will celebrate his remarkable journey of public service and reaffirm our collective commitment to the vision of a Viksit Bharat,” Sat Sharma said.
Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has witnessed a new era of development, welfare, infrastructure expansion and global recognition. From empowering the poor and strengthening social security to promoting entrepreneurship, modern infrastructure and self-reliance, the Modi government has worked with the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, he added.
Sat Sharma said the Deepotsav would be a celebration of the spirit of service and the aspirations of a confident and progressive India. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister would continue to guide the nation towards greater prosperity, security and development.
The BJP leaders thanked the Mahadev Trust for contributing the diyas and said that the initiative would add a spiritual and patriotic dimension to the birthday celebrations of the Prime Minister.
