LEH: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has appointed Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department, as the Nodal Officer to coordinate with the National Task Force constituted to address mental health issues among students.
The appointment has been made in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s judgment dated March 24, 2025 in Criminal Appeal No. 1425/2025 (SLP (Crl.) No. 13324/2024).
The National Task Force has been established to formulate and implement measures for the prevention of student suicides and to strengthen mental health support systems in educational institutions across the country.
As Nodal Officer, Bhanu Prabha will coordinate efforts between the UT Administration and the Task Force to ensure effective implementation of the directives aimed at promoting student well-being.
